Donating Proceeds

People Walking Away Letterboxing Adventures Forest Grove is a new kind of fundraiser for some of our favorite local causes. Select your choice of the activities we offer, then pay for them with a check made out directly to your choice of the following non-profit organizations:

Friends of the Forest Grove Library -is an all-volunteer organization made up of individuals, families and businesses who support the Forest Grove Library and its mission. The Friends enhance library services by providing materials and equipment beyond city and county funding, and through sponsorship of programs and special events. As advocates, members of the Friends promote awareness and usage of the library's resources and materials.

Adelante Mujeres -is dedicated to the holistic education and empowerment of low-income Latina women and their families. The women of Adelante Mujeres commit themselves to five hours of classes daily, five days a week. Their educational program includes leadership training and community service as integral parts of the curriculum, as well as job skill training and parenting education.

Friends of Historic Forest Grove -is an all-volunteer organization that works for the promotion, preservation and enhancement of the historic environment of Forest Grove. The city has been an educational and economic force in western Oregon since its settlement in 1841 and retains a distinct and important place in the history of Washington County, Oregon and the Pacific Northwest. Through programs, lectures, historic home and garden tours, displays and presentations, the Friends of Historic Forest Grove invite the public to celebrate the fascinating history of the area. Development and preservation of the A.T. Smith House as a living history museum is a long-term project undertaken by the FHFG.

Swallowtail School Scholarship Fund -promotes economic diversity within the student body of Swallowtail School, a developing Waldorf school that combines environmental and arts-based education, in a small school setting, for children in preschool through eighth grade. Swallowtail School is a registered non-profit organization located in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Tualatin Riverkeepers -is a community-based organization that empowers people to protect, restore and enjoy Oregon's Tualatin River system. The Tualatin basin encompasses all of Washington County. The Riverkeepers' activities include habitat restoration and conservation activities, trips and tours, a Watershed Watch program, organizing to impact water policy regulations, educational publications, and a speakers bureau.

Friends of Fernhill Wetlands -is a group of volunteers working together to enhance and preserve Fernhill Wetlands, which consists of nearly 600 acres of trails and wildlife habitat just a mile southeast of downtown Forest Grove. Although Fernhill is well known for the herons, hawks, eagles, beaver, otter, and mink that are common year-round, seasonal migrations bring waterfowl, shorebirds, and songbirds by the thousands to the wetlands' lakes, ponds, marshes and forested areas. Maintaining trails, informational kiosks, and viewing platforms, and the installation of bird boxes, are some of their on-going activities. Future plans include the construction of an interpretive center for recreation, education, and research.

All proceeds will benefit the organization of your choice & we'll deliver the check!
